I feel better now that that’s out in the open.
You see, just like you, I started my business so that I could make a positive impact on the world.
It was never just about making money.
But I soon realized that if I wasn’t making money, well …. the whole thing just couldn’t work.
So I needed to find a way to balance
- my love for my work,
- my desire to help others, and
- my need to make a living … a good living.
This took me on a slightly different path … obviously. I had already been living a spiritual life for decades before starting my business, but then I was led on a spiritual quest to identify the way to bring my spiritual being into my business … especially into my business that serves primarily a male audience. (In case you didn’t know, I work almost exclusively with construction contractors and sub-/trade-contractors.)
This quest had me asking questions like:
- What’s the SACRED relationship between money and service?
- I want to just COMMUNICATE with people and not feel “salesy.” Is that even possible?
- Where is the JOY in my business?
- Is there room for QUIET and STIlLNESS in the crazy world of entrepreneurship?
- What should I COMMIT to in order to thrive?
- How are other KIND-HEARTED solo-preneurs making it work?
- How do I say “NO” to CHAOS and “YES” to PEACEFUL PROSPERITY?
These questions and more have been discussed over and over again by me and the members of my “think-tank” around The Round Table.
We are a loving, supportive, non-denominational mastermind group dedicated to intellectual rigour, deep (and sometimes painful) honesty and joyful abundance.
